Notes:
· All prisons through the Chief Commissioner of Prisons have contributed to this exercise.
· The other source of information has been Police Stations visited.
· In almost all cases, the most serious anomaly is that accusers who commit the offence are never charged. It is the accused that are convicted and sentenced. Even in the case of Pretending Witchcraft, the accused are charged at the Police station after they have been taken there by their accusers- who have committed the offence in the first place.
· The number of people on remand or on bail may be higher that reflected in this return.
